National Certification

 

EARN A NATIONAL CERTIFICATE  IN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES!

 The Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) awards nationally recognized Certificates of Achievement to providers of employment services for people with disabilities.  This Certificate documents that the provider has satisfactorily completed a minimum of 40 hours of training or professional development provided by an ACRE-approved training resource such as CCER.

This Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services are appropriate to use as part of a professional portfolio.  Certificates have no expiration date and there is no cost to the service provider.  CCER provides travel support stipends to CRP staff from Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, or Washington who must travel more than 50 miles to attend.

 Required hours and topics include:

  • Introduction to Community Employment                                   4 hours
  • Assessment and Career Planning                                             5 hours
  • Marketing and Job Development                                                 6 hours
  • Job Acquisition                                                                                3 hours
  • On the Job Training and Support                                                 5 hours
  • Ongoing Support                                                                             2 hours
  • Knowing the Customer                                                                  1 hour
  • Other topics (or additional hours in above categories)          14 hours
  •  TOTAL                                                                                               40 hours
