Ethics for Rehabilitation Professionals
For vocational rehabilitation professionals who want to update their knowledge and skills in ethics while earning ten CRC ethics credits, CCER offers two options:
Site Based: One Day Session plus 3 hours of homework earns 10 credits
Distance Education: This ten credit course is divided into three weeks. Each week requires reading, written assignments, and an opening teleconference on the first day of the course. Internet coursework is presented using the Moodle learning platform.
What we’ll cover:
The new 2010 CRCC Code of Ethics
Six principles of ethical practice
Ethical questions and dilemmas
Culture and ethics
Technology and ethics
Dual relationships and boundaries
How the distance course works:
This ten-hour course is divided into three weeks. The course requires reading, written assignments, and an initial teleconference on the first day of the session. Internet coursework is presented using the Moodle learning platform.
Due to the interactive nature of this course, students must participate in the initial conference call and complete assignments by the required dates – this is not a self-paced course – much of the success of this course depends on interaction within the learning community!
What you’ll need:
Computer, printer, Internet access
Telephone long-distance conference call on first day of session (set for 2 p.m., Seattle/Pacific Standard Time)
